We follow the extended, in-house programme of Hilaris Bilingual Preschool. For us, English is not a subject children go to — it is the language in which they play, sing, listen to stories and talk to adults.
Every day — without exception, in every age group.
Six areas that work together — because one child will remember a word from a song, another from a story, and a third only once they have said it on stage.
English in two 30-minute sessions — for regularity and natural acquisition.
Content and language integrated learning, combined with full immersion in the foreign language.
English-language books, engaging storytelling and a modern whole-word approach to reading.
Creative play, music, movement and the senses — supported by modern technology as a tool, not a substitute for the teacher.
English-language theatre performances and regular workshops with native speakers.
Taking part in respected educational programmes: Make and Play, Oxford, Macmillan and Cambridge.

Children learn English with us naturally — and take enormous joy in it.
Thanks to repeated exposure during engaging activities, children consolidate the vocabulary and sentence structures they have learnt, so that these stay deep in their memory and can be recalled in conversation even many years later.
It is also extremely important that early education makes it possible to learn correct pronunciation — at exactly the time when the brain is still plastic enough to learn the sounds of a foreign language accurately and faithfully. That window cannot be opened a second time.
